Welcome to Downtown Voices Coalition! DVC is a coalition of stakeholder organizations that embrace growth in downtown Phoenix, but is mindful that healthy growth should be based upon existing downtown resources — the vibrancy of neighborhoods, the strength of the arts community, the uniqueness of historic properties, and the wonderful small businesses that dot downtown.  All of these assets should be stepping stones to be built upon, rather than shattered in the wake of rampant downtown development.

Our website is organized thematically by our different priority issues: coordination of planning, design guidelines, small business, neighborhoods, affordable housing, historic preservation, arts and culture, public spaces, transportation, and diversity/cultural inclusion.

What Phoenix project would you nominate? March 1 is deadline for 2008 National Preservation Awards

Each year the National Trust for Historic Preservation celebrates the best of preservation by presenting National Preservation Awards to individuals and organizations whose contributions demonstrate excellence in historic preservation.  You are invited to a deserving individual, organization, agency, or project in metro Phoenix for a National Preservation Award.  The deadline for nominations for all awards is March 1, 2008.  Those nominations not selected to receive a Trustees, ACHP, or HUD Award are automatically considered for an Honor Award.  Click here to download the nomination form from the National Trust’s website.
